Preliminary Designs
This animation was a collaboration. The initial concept, script, and visual reference were collaborative. I did the Storyboard, Illustration, and animation. Check out the storyboard below.
Visual Style
Since this was a fast turn around, we went with an impressionist style for faster rending of the illustrations. I’ll provide some references(left) and some illustrations I worked on(right). I tried to keep the under water feel throughout the animation
