2025 MFA Thesis Exhibtion Poster

Poster Design for this Exhibition. Since this was  a diverse group of artists whose themes express the intersection of psychology, identity, and perception, offering both personal and global perspectives to their experiences.  I went through 3 iterations of ideas, but what stood out to me was trying to incorporate the practice of Kintsugi, a Japanese art form of fixing broken tea cups with Gold. Highlighting the imperfections and history of the cup instead of hiding them.

I thought the idea of stitching pieces together with something of value was exactly what these artists were doing. With their treasured experiences being the glue of intersectionality, hence the black lines within the poster being the frame of each artist’s piece.
